Friendship Day: A Day For Your Friend, Buddy, Dost and Yaar

On the first Sunday in August, Friendship Day is always celebrated. It will be celebrated this year on August 1, 2021. It encourages people all over the country to reconnect with their friends and express their gratitude for one another, as well as reminds them why they are our best friends. Everybody celebrates this day in their own unique way . National Friendship Day was established in 1919 by Hallmark. It was supposed to be a day for individuals to send cards to each other to commemorate their friendship. The market, however, had dried up by 1940, and it eventually died out completely. Then, in 1998, at the United Nations, Winnie the Pooh was named the world's Ambassador of Friendship. The United Nations formally acknowledged the 30th of July as International Friendship Day in April 2011, although most countries celebrate International Friendship Day on the first Sunday of August.
