Travelling allows us to experience and explore the beauty of our Country! Salute to National Tourism Day!

The government of India and the Ministry of Tourism observe National Tourism Day on January 25 each year. This year's National Tourism Day theme is "Rural and Community Centric Tourism." Because of its well-known tourist destinations as well as its rich culture and tradition, India holds a unique position in the world. Many people in India are unaware that every year a day is observed to celebrate our country's diversity. The major reason for celebrating is to appreciate our country's beauty and culture, as well as to highlight the importance of tourism and its impact on the Indian economy.

The Ministry of Tourism, India organises an online pictorial quiz (https://quiz.mygov.in/quiz/national-tourism-day-picture-quiz/) to commemorate the day by showcasing India's culture, cuisines, and how much the general public knows about the country.

Each state in India has its own way of commemorating this day. For example, Madhya Pradesh Tourism is hosting a photography contest, Mumbai Tourism is hosting a photography and videography contest, Mizoram Tourism is hosting a slogan writing competition, and so on. This is an excellent time to appreciate the culture and rich heritage of various parts of India, as well as to get to know your country better.

Indian Films organises an online film festival on January 25, 2022 that has 11 films that showcase the beauty of India's states. Anyone can watch the show online through the film division's website and YouTube channel.

Because of its enormous cultural diversity, India is one of the most attractive tourist destinations. A visit to its stunning landscapes, wildlife, and heritage provides an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience.

On the occasion of National Tourism Day, I wish you all many more vacations to see many more new places, create wonderful memories to cherish, and leave a legacy for others to follow.
