5 Reasons Why You Should Adore Delhi

Image
Delhi, the capital of India, has a rich history and culture. It's one of my favourite cities, and I've wanted to visit it since my secondary school days. But I got the opportunity to be here in 2010 when I was posted and brought up here for my first job. It's like a dream come true. I have stayed in Delhi since 2010. Now that I am a Dilliwala, there is so much about the city, its vibe, culture, and so much more that I love. The rich history, the variety of food, fashion, people, and so much more- the city has a lot to love. Here are the top five reasons I adore Delhi. 1. A Rich History Delhi is a historically significant city. In ancient times, the city was known as Indraprastha , where Pandavas (from the Mahabharat ) lived. A Cup of Tea is a simple thing with numerous benefits. It relieves us from a variety of problems, including headaches, stress, exhaustion, mood swings, and breakups. It has the ability to bring us enormous delight and bring peace to our minds.  We adore Chai or Tea so much that a day is identified and celebrated in its honour every September 21st as National Tea (Chai) Day. Today (21st September) is both the International Day of Peace and National Tea Day, as you cannot have peace in your life without a cup of tea. So, always take a tea break in the middle of a busy day and take pleasure in every sip. So, are you a tea or coffee drinker? Which tea flavour do you prefer? What is your favourite tea memory? Celebrate the day by drinking tea or meditating for inner peace, then posting a photo with the hashtags #nationalchaiday or #internationaldayofpeace on social media. Understanding Respect & Self-Respect on National Respect Day

Image
"Respect is one of the greatest expression of Love"                                          -Don Miguel Ruiz.  Respect is a way of thinking or appreciating someone or something. It's an overall calculation of a person's accomplishments, abilities, and characteristics. Since childhood, we've been taught to respect everyone, including our parents, teachers, elders, our country, and so on. Respect implies accepting someone for who they are, rather than criticising them based on their appearance, race, nationality and thoughts. When there is respect in a relationship, there is trust, and both parties cherish each other's opinions and advice. Respect is earned by learning in the same way that a child learns in school. To promote greater re...
